Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Wednesday afternoon received the President of the Economic and Social Council, Charles Arbid, at the Grand Serail.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Arbid stated that he discussed with the Premier the preparations underway for the Beirut 1 Conference. The talks also covered the country’s current economic situation and the draft laws that are being developed.

In addition to his meeting with Arbid, Prime Minister Salam also met with Nehmeh Mahfouz, the Chairman of the Teachers Syndicate. Mahfouz took the opportunity to present the Premier with the syndicate’s relevant demands.
