PM Nawaf Salam Discusses River Property Encroachments and Forensic Audit of Ministry’s Projects with Minister of Energy


Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam held a meeting at the Grand Serail with Minister of Water and Energy, Joe Saddi, to discuss river property encroachments and the forensic audit procedures for specific projects of the Ministry of Energy and Water.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions focused on addressing issues related to encroachments on river properties, which have raised concerns about environmental impacts and legal compliance. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of taking corrective measures to ensure the protection and sustainable management of riverine areas.



The meeting also delved into the forensic audit of various projects under the Ministry of Energy and Water. The audit aims to assess the financial and operational integrity of these projects, ensuring transparency and accountability. The Prime Minister underscored the need for thorough audits to enhance public trust and ensure efficient use of resources.



Minister Joe Saddi expressed commitment to working closely with relevant stakeholders to address the issues of encroachments and to facilitate the audit process. Both leaders agreed on the necessity of implementing strategic solutions to maintain the integrity of water resources and infrastructure projects.
