Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday received French Minister Delegate for the Armed Forces, Alice Rufo, at the Grand Serail, in the presence of French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herv© Magro. Minister Rufo conveyed to Premier Salam a message of support from French President Emmanuel Macron, affirming that “France stands by Lebanon diplomatically.”

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the French Minister also reiterated France’s support for the Lebanese Army and its readiness to facilitate negotiations with Israel. For his part, Premier Salam thanked France for its political efforts, while renewing Lebanon’s readiness to engage in a negotiation path.
