Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday received the French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herv© Magro, who paid a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in the country. President Aoun commended Ambassador Magro's efforts during his tenure in Lebanon to strengthen Lebanese-French relations and awarded him the National Order of the Cedar, rank of Grand Officer, in recognition of his contributions.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also met with Lebanon's Ambassador to France, Rabih Chaar. They discussed the embassy's efforts to strengthen Lebanese-French relations across various fields and the support France could provide at this stage to help Lebanon overcome the current crises. The discussion included a briefing on the situation of the Lebanese community in France.

President Aoun later met with Lebanon's Ambassador to Armenia, Dima Haddad. They discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to further strengthen them. The discussion also touched on the role of the Lebanese community in Armenia and its contribution to reinforcing the ties between the two countries.

Additionally, President Aoun and Ambassador Haddad discussed the invitation he received from his Armenian counterpart, President Vahagn Khachaturyan, to participate in the "Leaders' Summit" to be hosted in Yerevan on October 16, ahead of the United Nations Conference on Biological Diversity (COP17).
