President Aoun Calls for Moment of Silence for Tripoli Building Collapse Victims, Extends Lent and Ramadan Greetings

Beirut: At the beginning of today's Cabinet session, President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, called for a moment of silence to mourn the victims of the building collapse in Tripoli. On the other hand, President Aoun congratulated the Lebanese on the beginning of Lent for the Christian denominations that follow the Western calendar, and on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity among Lebanese citizens during these observances. The call for a moment of silence was a gesture to honor the lives lost in the tragic incident, reflecting the president's commitment to supporting the victims' families and the affected community.

The president's dual message highlighted the coexistence of different religious traditions in Lebanon, underscoring a sense of national harmony and respect during significant religious periods for both Christians and Muslims.
