Beirut:Akkar President of the Republic Joseph Aoun stated he is closely monitoring the efforts to find immediate and effective solutions to the material, health, and environmental issues resulting from the Srar landfill.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Aoun made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the Akkar municipalities, which are affected by the landfill.

The delegation agreed to reconsider their decision to close the landfill and expressed their willingness to respond to the president's call for quick resolutions to the problem.
