Baabda: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received a delegation from the Arab Scout Committee at Baabda Palace, representing 14 Arab countries, following the selection of Lebanon to host the Arab Scout Organization's strategic meetings. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, during the meeting, the President of the Lebanese Scouts Federation, Wissam El Zein, highlighted Lebanon's historic role as the birthplace of Arab Scouting since 1912 and presented the achievements of the Federation's national strategy focused on youth development and institutional work. The President of the Arab Scout Committee, Saeed Maalyki, emphasized the importance of Scouting as a global and Arab educational movement, reaffirmed Beirut's role as the hub of Arab Scouting, and praised Lebanon's continued leadership despite challenges. President Aoun welcomed the delegation, stressing the importance of investing in youth, promoting values, citizenship, and social responsibility. He commended the Scouting movement for its vital role in building individuals and strengthening societies, reaffirming his confidence in Lebanon and its youth.
