Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, accompanied by Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar, visited the Directorate General of Civil Defense in Ain El Remmaneh on New Year's Eve to review readiness measures for the holiday.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the President was received by acting Director General, Brigadier General Imad Khreish, along with heads of units, departments, regional center officials, staff, and volunteers.

President Aoun inspected operations at the control room, praised the sacrifices of Civil Defense personnel, and stressed that the real joy lies in the night passing safely without incidents.

Brig. Gen. Khreish thanked the President for the meaningful visit, calling it a strong message of support to the Civil Defense and a sign of the state's care for public safety.
