President Joseph Aoun Addresses Akkar Municipalities on Development Commitment

Beirut: President the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, engaged with a delegation from the municipalities of the Akkar region, emphasizing the state's commitment to balanced development. He remarked, "Akkar has never been outside the state; rather the state has been absent from Akkar." He assured the delegation of his commitment to ensuring that state institutions and public administrations support the people of Akkar. As a significant initial measure, he announced the reactivation of the Rene Mouawad Airport in Qlayaat for commercial flights.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun highlighted that the comprehensive development process across Lebanon had been disrupted by the war. Despite these challenges, he reaffirmed the commitment to balanced development in line with the Taif Agreement, the presidential oath of office, and the ministerial statement.

Aoun reiterated the goal of establishing a state that protects all Lebanese citizens and safeguards their rights.
