Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, discussed the country's overall security situation, particularly in the south, with Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal, in light of the continued Israeli attacks on southern villages and towns.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, General Haykal also briefed President Aoun on the outcome of his visit to Italy and his talks with Italian officials.
