Kuwait City: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Monday departed Kuwait, concluding a two-day official visit during which he held talks with the Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the Amiri Diwan.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the Kuwaiti Emir affirmed to President Aoun Kuwait’s commitment to supporting Lebanon and strengthening Kuwaiti-Lebanese and Gulf relations. In response, President Aoun expressed his gratitude to the Emir for the support shown towards Lebanon and the Lebanese people.

The Emir of Kuwait also informed President Aoun of a decision to raise the level of diplomatic representation between Kuwait and Lebanon. This move aims to strengthen bilateral relations and restore them to their optimal state.

During the visit, President Aoun extended an official invitation to the Emir of Kuwait to visit Lebanon, which the Emir promised to fulfill.
