Damascus: President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun condemned the bombing that took place today in Damascus, considering that "targeting the security of the Syrian capital at this sensitive time represents an attempt to undermine stability and disrupt the recovery path witnessed in Syria."

According to National news agency - Lebanon, President Aoun expressed "Lebanon's full solidarity with Syria, its people, and its institutions in confronting all attempts to undermine its security," wishing the injured a speedy recovery. Aoun reiterated that "Syria's stability is an integral part of the stability of Lebanon and the entire region."
