Beirut: The Public Works and Transportation Parliamentary Commission, led by Deputy Muhammad Qabbani, convened on Thursday with Margareta Wahlstrom, the Representative of the UN Secretary General for Disaster Risk Reduction. The meeting focused on the critical issue of disaster management in Lebanon.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions emphasized the importance of establishing a single authoritative body and a vertical executive authority to manage disaster-related concerns in the country. Qabbani highlighted the urgent need for a centralized approach to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of disaster management efforts.
