Putin, Al-Sharaa Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Situation in Phone Call

Beirut: Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa, during which they discussed the development of bilateral relations, prospects for further strengthening ties and the current situation in the region, the Kremlin said, according to TASS.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, the discussion between the two leaders underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation between Russia and Syria. Both presidents expressed their commitment to continue working closely on matters of mutual interest. The conversation also touched upon the ongoing regional challenges and the need for strategic collaboration to address them effectively.

Furthermore, the phone call served as an opportunity for both parties to reaffirm their shared goals and explore new avenues for cooperation. The leaders agreed to maintain regular communication to ensure the continuous development of their bilateral relationship amidst the evolving geopolitical landscape.
