Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary Bloc, MP Mohammad Raad, said on Sunday that Hezbollah knows its presidential candidate well and is acting to ensure the election of said candidate.

He added that the presidential vacuum is caused by the lack of agreement over the president that the resistance people deserve.

“When an agreement is reached, the president will be elected,” he said, noting that his party wants to accelerate the presidential deadline more than the others, through serious action.

Raad’s words came during a Hezbollah ceremony in honor of the martyrs of the Islamic Resistance in the southern town of Majdal Zoun, on the occasion of Martyr’s Day.

“We want a state that reflects the interests of the people of the country, opens up to the outside, and deals with the outside on the basis of preserving the common interests between the Lebanese and others, knowing that we are not advocates of isolation from others, but advocates of openness based on our commitment to our values and our project,” Raad underlined.
