Bkerke: Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi on Tuesday received MP Salim El Sayegh at the Patriarchal See in Bkerke, where they discussed key national deadlines, notably the upcoming parliamentary elections.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, following the meeting, El Sayegh emphasized the importance of adhering to the constitution and rejecting any postponement of the elections. He highlighted the right of both resident and expatriate Lebanese citizens to participate in the voting process. El Sayegh also advocated for legislative amendments that would facilitate expatriates voting from abroad. Additionally, he called for the full implementation of the Lebanese Army's plan south of the Litani River.
