Beirut: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, held a series of meetings on Wednesday, highlighted by a visit from the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Lebanon, Walid Al-Hadid. The ambassador congratulated Rasamny on his appointment and conveyed Jordan’s ongoing support for Lebanon’s security, stability, and prosperity.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting with Ambassador Al-Hadid offered an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations and explore ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly in areas relevant to the ministry’s work.
Minister Rasamny also engaged in discussions with MPs Ali Fayyad and Amin Sherri from the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc. These talks centered on domestic developments and regional infrastructure needs, focusing on road maintenance in the Marjayoun and Hasbaya districts.
At noon, Rasamny welcomed the head of the Hariri Foundation, Mrs. Bahia Hariri, to discuss development projects in the city of Sidon. Additionally, he met with MP Najat Aoun Saliba, accompanied by Rachad Rafeh and Chukri Haddad, and welcomed MP Jamil Abboud for further discussions.
In another significant meeting, Rasamny met with Captain Ihab Azmy, Director of the National Air Navigation Services Company of Egypt, alongside a delegation. The discussions aimed at addressing the staffing shortage at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport by deploying Egyptian air traffic controllers to support Lebanon’s aviation needs.
