Bsharri: Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny, recently held a meeting with MP Strida Geagea, who was accompanied by former MP Joseph Isaac. The visit was to extend congratulations following the government’s successful securing of the parliament’s vote of confidence.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting centered around several infrastructure projects within the Bsharri district that fall under the ministry’s purview. Key discussions included advancing the Hadchit Road project toward the implementation phase and revisiting the Qannoubine Valley road project. This project, originally awarded in 2019, remains unexecuted and spans approximately four kilometers from the power plant to the Monastery of Our Lady of Qannoubine.
Another critical topic was the preparation for the tendering process of a crucial retaining wall at the main entrance of Bsharri near Hadchit. The deterioration of this structure presents a considerable risk to public safety, necessitating its urgent reinforcement.
The meeting also reviewed ongoing road maintenance projects across the villages and towns of the Bsharri district, highlighting the importance of continued infrastructure improvements to ensure community safety and connectivity.
