Western bekaa: Public Works and Transport Minister, Fayez Rasamny, conducted an extensive tour of Western Bekaa and Rachaya at the invitation of MP Wael Abu Faour, meeting religious leaders, municipal officials, and local stakeholders to review infrastructure needs and development priorities. The visit included stops in Zahle and Majdal Anjar, site inspections of key road links and the Jib Jennine-Litani bridge area, and a broad meeting with MPs, mayors, and union representatives.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions focused on road maintenance, safety, and coordination with the Council for Development and Reconstruction, as well as water and municipal projects. Minister Rasamny stressed that despite limited state resources, the ministry is accelerating work, setting clear priorities, and preparing a 2026 action plan, with emphasis on international roads linking districts and governorates.
In turn, Abu Faour highlighted balanced development and pledged follow-up with municipalities to consolidate demands. The tour concluded with meetings in Rachaya, visits to local institutions and cultural centers, and a luncheon hosted by Abu Faour, underscoring cross-community engagement around development needs.
