Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Thursday received Energy and Water Minister, Joe Saddi, who briefed him on the current state of electricity supply and the advanced stages reached in efforts to secure additional energy and power imports. The discussions focused on the ongoing challenges and strategies being implemented to enhance the energy infrastructure in the country.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting also addressed developments in the energy sector and measures aimed at improving electricity generation and distribution. This included discussions on future projects and potential collaborations to ensure a more stable and efficient energy supply across the nation.
Saddi further presented details regarding the delay in unloading the vessel Basilis L, outlining the circumstances surrounding the issue and its implications for ongoing energy supply operations. The delay has been a significant concern as it affects the timely distribution of energy resources. The minister emphasized the importance of resolving this issue to prevent further disruptions in the energy supply chain.
