Salam: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Monday said after the Cabinet session that the government condemned Hezbollah’s launching of rockets from Lebanese territory, describing it as a violation of the ceasefire arrangements and Cabinet decisions.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Salam stressed that the state firmly rejects any military actions originating from its territory and reaffirmed that the decision of war and peace rests exclusively with the state.

Salam said this requires prohibiting Hezbollah’s activities, obliging them to hand over their weapons and commit to political action.

The government tasked security apparatuses with preventing any military operations and arresting those responsible, and requested that the Army command begin implementing the plan related to restricting weapons north of the Litani River.
