Beirut: Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam received a delegation of contractual professors from the Lebanese University on Saturday, led by Dr. Mustafa Ragheb. The meeting centered around discussions on the implementation of a decision to grant full-time status to the university's professors.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Dr. Ragheb stated that the decision in question was issued on February 17, and it aims to grant full-time status to the professors, with the first group slated to assume their roles on September 1. However, the decree specifying the names of the professors in the initial and subsequent batches has not been issued yet. Dr. Ragheb added that this was a key reason for their meeting with Prime Minister Salam, who assured them that he would address the issue in the upcoming cabinet sessions on September 3 and 10.
