Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Wednesday met with MPs Bilal Houshaymi, Hassan Murad, and Ashraf Baydoun to discuss challenges facing Lebanon's education sector, particularly official examinations.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting focused on growing concerns among students, parents, and teachers over the mechanism for conducting official exams amid Lebanon's exceptional security, social, and psychological conditions.
The MPs emphasized that student safety and the right to education under fair and secure conditions must remain a top priority. They highlighted the importance of preserving academic standards and the credibility of official certificates even in challenging circumstances.
The officials also advocated for a balanced national approach, considering the difficult circumstances affecting students across different regions of Lebanon. They stressed the need for solutions that address the disparities and ensure equal opportunities for all students in the country.
