Beirut: Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday received a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the Grand Serail, headed by Ernesto Ramrez Rigo. Salam said the meeting was “positive and productive,” noting that discussions focused on the IMF’s remarks regarding the draft law addressing the situation of banks, as well as the draft financial regularization law and the recovery of deposits.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the talks also covered the next practical steps required to reach an agreement with the IMF, in line with the government’s ministerial statement, Salam added.
