Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, received a delegation from KAFA (Enough) Violence and Exploitation, headed by the organization's president, Zoya Rouhana.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, Rouhana said the meeting focused on a number of issues that remain unresolved despite the adoption of the relevant legislation. She mentioned that the delegation urged the prime minister to encourage the concerned ministers to take the necessary measures to implement the existing laws and ensure they achieve their intended objectives while protecting the rights they guarantee.
For his part, Salam affirmed his commitment to taking all necessary steps to implement the laws in force, stressing that the matter would receive the attention it deserves.
