Hasbaya: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam arrived at the Hasbaya Municipal Union headquarters, where he was welcomed by a large gathering of local social, religious, and municipal figures.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting opened with a speech by Hasbaya Mayor Labib Al-Hamra, who welcomed Prime Minister Salam and highlighted the region's longstanding neglect. He emphasized the urgent need to establish an official government serail, noting that Hasbaya is the only district in Lebanon without a central facility for government administrations.

Mayor Al-Hamra also stressed the importance of implementing vital projects, particularly the rehabilitation of international roads, including the stretch from Kfar-Rumman to Ibl al-Saqi, asserting that the people of Hasbaya seek their constitutional rights similar to other Lebanese regions.

Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Salam affirmed that "the state is present today in Hasbaya and the South," pledging that "the upcoming phase will prioritize balanced development to meet the needs of underserved areas and strengthen the resilience of their communities."

In turn, MP Firas Hamdan welcomed the Prime Minister's visit and underscored the region's chronic challenges. He called for the swift execution of urgent development projects to fulfill residents' aspirations and improve their daily living and service conditions.
