Beirut: Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh chaired a meeting at his office at the National Library, alongside Director General of Cultural Affairs Ali Samad and a special committee, to discuss the selection of the film that will represent Lebanon in the 2026 Oscars competition in the Foreign Language Film category. This meeting was convened following his decision to appoint specialized members to the committee, led by the Director General.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the meeting focused on several key points related to the selection process. Minister Salameh highlighted the necessity of adhering to international standards and ensuring transparency and objectivity in selecting the Lebanese film that will be nominated for the Oscars.
