Baabda:Baabda Palace: President Joseph Aoun met with a delegation from the Sunni MPs bloc, where MP Bilal Abdallah expressed gratitude for the president's approval of the sentence reduction law. This law is seen as a "national and humanitarian" initiative impacting thousands of prisoners and detainees, including those awaiting rulings.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Abdallah acknowledged that opponents of the law have the right to challenge it through constitutional and judicial means. He emphasized that no one should position the Army against any faction in Lebanon.

In another meeting, President Aoun spoke with a delegation from Oum El Nour, focusing on drug prevention efforts. He emphasized the shared responsibility in combating drugs, involving the state, families, schools, and universities. While treatment for addiction is crucial, Aoun highlighted the importance of prevention and awareness, noting that security forces would continue efforts against drug trafficking and distribution networks.
