Karachi: Pakistan’s Edhi rescue service has said six people were killed and several injured in riots that broke out near the US consulate in Karachi. As we reported earlier, protesters attempted to storm the US diplomatic mission in the Pakistani city. Several people were injured as police dispersed the crowd.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the situation escalated when demonstrators gathered near the consulate, leading to a confrontation with law enforcement authorities. The police were forced to take action to prevent the protesters from breaching the consulate premises.

The riots resulted in significant casualties, with local rescue services confirming that six individuals lost their lives. Additionally, numerous others were injured during the clashes. The authorities have since increased security measures around the US consulate to prevent further incidents.
