Sterling drops against dollar

General

The pound sterling saw a drop against the US dollar on Friday after the Bank of England raised its interest rate Thursday by 25 basis points to 4.5 per cent. According to British economic reports, the pound fell to 1.525 against the dollar and 1.148 against the euro.
