Caretaker Tele-Communications Minister Johnny Corm’s press office indicated that “the Ministry of Tele-Communications and the two cell phone companies’ management are being subjected to a malicious campaign based on many deceptions, misrepresentations and fabrications.”

The Ministry explained in an issued statement that “Minister Corm refuses negotiations under pressure and confirms the Tele-Communications Ministry’s final position in totally rejecting any increase in salaries, while emphasizing the need for ensuring continuity of the public utility and running the sector, providing continuous internet and communications services and holding obstructors accountable.”

The Telecommunications Minister highlighted the need to exercise accuracy and caution when publishing any information related to the Ministry or both cell phone companies, assuring the Ministry’s open-door policy for any news validation.
