The President of the Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso, expressed his hope that the comprehensive conference for Libyan reconciliation will be held during this year to comply with the vision of the African Union, which considers holding a comprehensive national reconciliation conference as a prerequisite for organizing credible elections in Libya. Whose results will be accepted by all parties.

This came in the interview conducted by the French newspaper “Le Pinion” in its issue issued on Wednesday with the Congolese president.

President “Nguesso”, assigned by the African Union to head the high-level committee on Libya entrusted with the task of organizing the comprehensive conference on national reconciliation, directed a sharp criticism of what he described as the “turbulent roles” of unnamed international actors in Africa after the military intervention in Libya led to dire repercussions on the entire African Sahel region.
