UAE Foreign Minister Engages in Talks with Lebanon’s PM on Bilateral Relations

Beirut: UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to discuss the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in support of their mutual interests.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the two sides also reviewed the latest regional developments and the situation in Lebanon, particularly following the announcement of the signing of a framework agreement, sponsored and supported by the United States, between the Lebanese and Israeli governments.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed the signing of the agreement, praising the efforts of both the Lebanese and Israeli governments that led to its conclusion. He also commended the role played by the United States in facilitating and supporting the agreement, noting that it contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.

He reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates' full support for all efforts aimed at achieving lasting security and stability in the sisterly Republic of Lebanon. He also stressed the UAE's unwavering support for Lebanon's unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and all initiatives that promote prosperity and well-being for the Lebanese people.
