Beirut: United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, on Monday began an official visit to Israel, where she is scheduled to meet senior Israeli officials for talks amid escalating hostilities.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions will focus on the urgent need to recommit to the full implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 (2006).
