UN thanks Jordan for assistance in evacuating UN personnel from Sudan

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has thanked Jordan and other countries that supported the evacuation of United Nations personnel from war-torn Sudan.

The countries named by Guterres in a statement are Jordan, France, Saudi Arabia, Chad, Kenya, Uganda, the US, Sweden, Germany, the UK and Canada.

Guterres urged the conflicting parties in Sudan, the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces to uphold the ceasefire.
