UNIFIL, Army Units Remove Concrete Blocks in Qusayr to Facilitate Traffic Flow

Qusayr: National News Agency correspondent reported that a UNIFIL patrol, accompanied by a bulldozer and a truck, in cooperation with the Lebanese Army, removed concrete blocks in the town of Qusayr, south Lebanon, to facilitate traffic flow after these blocks had narrowed the road and obstructed vehicle traffic.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the removal of the concrete blocks was a coordinated effort between UNIFIL and the Lebanese Army. The operation aimed to alleviate the traffic congestion that had been affecting the local residents and commuters in the area.

The concrete blocks were initially placed on the road for security purposes, but over time, they became an impediment to smooth vehicular movement. The joint action by UNIFIL and the Lebanese Army is expected to significantly improve the traffic situation in Qusayr.

Residents have welcomed the move, expressing relief at the prospect of reduced travel time and more efficient road usage. The collaboration between UNIFIL and the Lebanese Army is seen as a positive step towards addressing infrastructure challenges in the region.
