Ayta ash sha'b: The Italian CIMIC of Sector West, along with doctors from the Polish contingent, undertook significant initiatives to support the local community at the Social Development Center in Ayta Ash Sha'b. Over three tons of construction materials were donated by the Italian contingent to the center's Director, Dr. Siham Droubi, aimed at renovating the school wing to enable the reopening of educational facilities for children in the Village area.
According to National news agency - Lebanon, the Polish contingent conducted over sixty medical examinations for the residents of Ayta, distributing necessary medicines and bolstering the center's pharmacy resources. In addition to medical support, UNIFIL peacekeepers engaged with local children through games and small gifts, fostering a sense of community and care.
The efforts by Sector West underscore UNIFIL's commitment to assisting communities along the Blue Line. These activities align with the United Nations mandate, highlighting UNIFIL's dedication to the well-being and development of the southern population.
