US Ambassador Issa Visits Southern Lebanon to Assess Progress and Challenges

Beirut: U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon, Michel Issa, visited southern Lebanon to assess conditions on the ground and see firsthand the progress and challenges in the pilot zones. The visit aimed to evaluate the current situation and support efforts in strengthening state authority and stability in the region.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the U.S. Embassy in Beirut released a statement highlighting the continued commitment of the United States to support the Government of Lebanon and the Lebanese Armed Forces. The focus remains on protecting civilians, providing essential services, and fostering conditions that promote lasting peace and stability in southern Lebanon.

Ambassador Issa emphasized the importance of his visit by stating, "My visit to southern Lebanon allowed me to witness firsthand the challenges facing its communities. I deeply sympathize with residents who have endured displacement and uncertainty, and I understand their urgent desire to return home and rebuild their lives in safety and dignity."
