Qbayat: Residents of Qbayat were shocked by acts of vandalism targeting the ancient Mar Shalita Monastery in the Wadi Halsban area of Qbayat. Security sources reported that unknown individuals destroyed some of the monastery's contents and religious statues, in addition to setting fire to several other items.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, security forces arrived immediately at the site and launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrators.

The attack has sparked widespread outrage in the town, given the monastery's religious, cultural, and historical significance to the people of Qbayat and the surrounding region.
