A joint security force to combat crime and the Third Wasit Emergency Regiment were able to arrest five suspects in a security operation carried out in Al-Suwaira District, north of the governorate.
A source in Wasit Police told the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / 5 pieces of various light weapons “Kalashnikov”, ammunition stores and various bullets were seized in the possession of the suspects.
He added that the suspects and the seized weapons were referred to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.
