Atlanta: Defending champions Argentina and England completed the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final lineup after hard-fought extra-time victories over Switzerland and Norway, respectively, in the final quarter-final matches early Sunday.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Argentina and England will meet in the second semi-final in Atlanta on Wednesday, with the winner advancing to face either France or Spain, who play on Tuesday.

Argentina booked their place in the last four with a 3-1 extra-time victory over Switzerland in Kansas City.

England reached the World Cup semi-finals for the fourth time in their history after coming from behind to defeat Norway 2-1 after extra time at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
