Nabi sheet: A horrific scene unfolded in the town of Nabi Sheet early this morning after scores of airstrikes were launched by hostile warplanes across neighborhoods, streets, and public spaces. The bombardment followed the detection of an Israeli commando unit deployed by four Apache helicopters to a rugged area on the eastern slopes of the Lebanese mountains, between the towns of Al Kharayeb, Maaraboun, and Yahfoufa.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, under the cover of darkness, the unit reportedly advanced toward the Al Shukr family cemetery in the eastern district of Nabi Sheet. Upon being sighted by armed resistance fighters and local residents, clashes broke out between the infiltrating forces and defenders using light and medium-weight weaponry.

To prevent the hostile force from being taken captive, the Israeli military escalated the engagement with heavy aerial and helicopter strikes, carrying out approximately forty sorties aimed at cutting supply routes and hindering the movement of resistance fighters and armored support toward the cemetery. Following intense small-arms fire and rocket strikes, delivered by both local resistance and civilians, the enemy moved quickly to evacuate its unit by helicopter to limit its own casualties.

The confrontation resulted in 26 fatalities, including three Lebanese Army soldiers, one General Security officer, fifteen residents of Nabi Sheet, nine from Al Kharayeb, and one each from the towns of Sarain and Ali Al Nahri. As is typically the case, the Israeli side has not disclosed its own casualty figures.

In preparation for the ground operation, the Israeli forces reportedly carried out thirteen heavy airstrikes to divert attention from their plan, targeting central and outlying areas of Nabi Sheet and committing what locals described as a massacre against defenseless residents. Additional strikes were also reported on the surrounding border plains (al-Juroud) and neighboring villages.
