Al-hajjar: Security measures will be intensified across Tripoli, North Lebanon, and Akkar following a meeting of the Sub-Security Council in Tripoli. Interior Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar announced increased security deployments and stricter law enforcement targeting gunfire, unlicensed weapons, drug trafficking, crime, traffic violations, unregistered vehicles, motorcycles, and tuk-tuks. Authorities will also tighten oversight of private generators, unsafe buildings, waste dumps, and cross-border smuggling.

According to National news agency - Lebanon, Al-Hajjar stressed that the security plan will be continuous rather than a temporary campaign, with closer coordination among security agencies and the Lebanese Army. The minister emphasized that security and stability are essential to economic development and investment, noting government efforts to advance projects in North Lebanon, particularly in Tripoli's infrastructure and energy sector. There is potential cooperation with Iraq on oil and related infrastructure.

Al-Hajjar stated that the state will maintain a stronger presence across Tripoli, Akkar, and the wider North, with sustained security efforts alongside government initiatives to promote economic and social development.
