Beirut: President Joseph Aoun received Public Works and Transport Minister Fayez Rasamny, CMA CGM Chairman and CEO Rodolphe Saad©, Beirut Port Management and Investment Committee Chairman Marwan Nefe, and CMA CGM Regional Director Joe Daccache. During the meeting, Aoun stressed the economic significance of the newly launched Beirut Port container terminal expansion project, saying it would benefit the broader Lebanese economy by facilitating trade, imports and exports, strengthening Lebanon's competitiveness, attracting investment and creating new job opportunities.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the president emphasized that reinforcing Beirut Port's role is a key component of Lebanon's efforts to restore its economic and logistics position in the region. He added that strengthening the port would help attract further investment and generate new opportunities for the Lebanese economy.
