Aoun Condemns Offenses Against Religious Leaders in Lebanon


Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, has issued a strong condemnation against any offenses directed at Christian and Muslim religious leaders and spiritual figures in Lebanon. He emphasized that these figures represent values that go beyond religious boundaries and touch on national unity and identity.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, President Aoun highlighted the importance of maintaining respect for these leaders and the values they embody, which are crucial for the unity of Lebanon and its people. He reminded the public that existing laws prohibit such offenses and that violators would be punished accordingly.



President Aoun urged all parties to maintain their differences of opinion within a political framework and avoid personal insults. He stressed that these negative practices could have severe repercussions, especially during the current circumstances in Lebanon, which demand broad national solidarity.
