Aoun Discusses Role of International Organizations in Lebanon with Riza

Beirut: President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday held talks with Imran Riza, Deputy Special Coordinator of the United Nations in Lebanon, Resident Coordinator, and Humanitarian Coordinator, on the activities of international organizations operating in Lebanon.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the discussions focused on the contributions and impact of these organizations within the country. The meeting aimed to address ongoing cooperation and explore potential enhancements in their operations to better serve the needs of the Lebanese population.

The talks underscored the importance of international support in navigating the challenges faced by Lebanon. Both parties emphasized the necessity of sustained collaboration to ensure the effectiveness of humanitarian efforts and to bolster Lebanon’s socio-economic stability.

The meeting comes at a time when Lebanon is grappling with a multitude of crises, and international organizations play a crucial role in providing aid and assistance. The dialogue between General Aoun and Imran Riza is seen as a step towards strengthening the partnership between Lebanon and the United Nations.
