Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Friday discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the "Mechanism" committee with head of the Lebanese negotiating delegation, former ambassador Simon Karam. The meeting focused on arrangements for the next session of the committee, scheduled to be held on January 17.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions between President Aoun and Simon Karam are part of ongoing efforts to ensure all necessary preparations are in place for the successful execution of the upcoming meeting. The "Mechanism" committee is tasked with crucial discussions and negotiations, and the January 17 session is anticipated to address significant issues on the agenda.
