Baabda: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Monday received Cumberland Mayor Ola Hamed from Australia and discussed the situation of the Lebanese community and people of Lebanese descent in Australia, as well as Lebanese-Australian relations.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting took place at the presidential palace in Baabda, where both leaders underscored the importance of the Lebanese diaspora in Australia and the role it plays in fostering bilateral ties between the two nations. Discussions also centered around potential initiatives to strengthen these connections and support the Lebanese community in Australia.

The meeting highlighted the historic ties and shared values between Lebanon and Australia, with a focus on enhancing cooperation at various levels.
