Aoun Praises KSA Support, Honours Ambassador Walid Bukhari at Baabda Palace

Baabda: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday expressed that the relations between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia extend beyond mere historic ties, describing them as based on mutual respect and constructive cooperation. During a farewell meeting held at Baabda Palace, Aoun awarded the Saudi Ambassador, Walid Bukhari, the National Order of the Cedar, rank of Grand Officer, in recognition of his significant efforts to fortify Lebanese-Saudi relations.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun lauded Saudi Arabia's enduring support for Lebanon and commended Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's regional vision, highlighting its positive impact that transcends beyond the boundaries of the kingdom.

In a separate meeting, President Aoun received a delegation from the Deir al-Qamar Governmental Hospital committee, who extended their gratitude for his support in the completion and official integration of the hospital into Lebanon's public healthcare system.

Additionally, the president met with representatives from the cybersecurity firm Semicolon Security, where he praised the talent of young Lebanese individuals in the technology and cybersecurity sectors. Aoun emphasized the importance of digital transformation and the necessity of robust cyber protection initiatives in today's rapidly evolving tech landscape.
