Beirut: Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, on Tuesday received Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari at the Grand Serail in a farewell visit. Salam praised the "major efforts" made by Bukhari to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, commending the role he played during a sensitive period in Lebanon's history.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Salam expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Bukhari for his dedication and contribution to improving the diplomatic ties between the two nations. The prime minister highlighted the ambassador's pivotal role in fostering cooperation and understanding during challenging times for Lebanon.
Furthermore, Salam extended his best wishes to Ambassador Bukhari, expressing hope for his continued success in his new responsibilities. The farewell visit marks the end of Bukhari's influential tenure as the Saudi envoy to Lebanon, during which he made significant strides in bridging the relationship between the two countries.
